The Post House,
Robin Hoods Bay
It was a dull and overcast day, and raining intermittently when I arrived at the Post House in Robin Hoods Bay. The cottage had undergone a period of renovation, and as such, the owner Brenda wanted a new set of photographs to show off the cottage.
There wasn’t much time as the images were needed urgently, and as such I had to make the best of the weather, using my knowledge of working with light and a tripod to make the best of the light that was available.
The more ‘eagled-eyed’ amongst you may be able to see the rain on the kitchen window, Brenda has asked me to return in better weather to take further images of the exterior.
Due to the constraints and reality of business, it is essential to make the best of the weather, my experience allows me to be able to produce high quality interior images even in unsuitable conditions. As for the exterior, well that’s a different story!
