Kathleen Cairns
I was approached by Kathleen in response to an advertisement I had placed on Folksy. She hadn’t had the sales figures she was hoping for since selling on the site, for her range of homemade soaps and bath products.
A variety of approaches were chosen in how to create the settings for her products, some products were food related, for example cup cake soaps and were treated as such. Other products such as her bath bombs were more traditionally designed, and called for a more traditional bath time setting. However, all the products have been treated the same way for the lighting setup to produce a beautifully soft focus upon the products and the backdrops and props becoming largely secondary through creative use of depth of field.
So far I have completed ninety new photographs for her, which she is very pleased with, and am just about to begin further photography for her, with a website planned for later in the year…
