We've been working with greeting card designers and publishers since the business was setup providing product photography, lifestyle photography and also stock/template photography solutions. We've worked with lots of members of the Ladder Club and last year we joined the Greeting Card Association as an associate member.
We've written various guides on carrying out photography yourself. See the blog for a host of articles on product photography and more specifically there is also an article published in Progressive Greetings Online on How to Photograph Greetings Cards.
We have an extensive prop store that can be used alongside your card ranges. This includes many different surfaces, backgrounds and individual props. We use professional lighting equipment and techniques that allow us to illuminate special foils and other finishes, whilst also picking up textures from card stocks. It also allows for consistency between individual cards which is very important when shooting an entire collection.
All images produced are covered by our standard copyright policy which allows clients to crop and resize the image in any way they need. For further alterations, and to allow for inserting replacement artwork please ask about our extended license.
The process begins by having a conversation about styling, content and your requirements. All styling and setting is done in-house. We ask for a brief from you describing the style, and also have a shot list template for you to use, its based in Google Docs, simply click 'Make A Copy' this will create a unique copy for you, and you can share it back to me. Equally if you prefer you can download it and fill it in MS Word or Apple Pages instead.
Quotes are produced beforehand that we will stick to, no more day rates for photography with the possibility of the shoot spilling over to the next day and being charged for another day or half day.
Having worked extensively in graphic design before we do understand some of the complications with the printing process, and am very used to working with designers. We've worked with Hannah Marchant Illustrates, Perkins & Morley, Mrs Lovesy, Rocket 68 Design, Deckled Edge, New Leaf Cards, Seedlings Card & Gifts, The Handcrafted Card Co amongst others.

These cards are printed on high quality textured card, and showing off the card stock is very important for sales.
